Why is a Common Sense Website so inexpensive?
We develop a basic website using a number of pre-designed but highly configurable templates. This allows us to design a website quickly and obviously less time equals lower cost.
Are changes expensive?
Changes are handled in two ways. We can do them for you at a charge of $20/hour. If you understand the basics of word processing or design we can help you make those changes yourself if you are comfortable with that.
What about E-mail?
Each website can be set up with new e-mail accounts if desired. They can be forwarded to existing e-mail accounts to make it easier for you to stay connected with your computer or smartphone.
What about domain registration and renewal?
We can help you do that for $15.
Do you do Search Engine Optimization?
Yes we do this for our clients. Or you can hire a specialist to enhance your site and we will work with them.
What are the ongoing costs?
We charge $10 a month for hosting and basic support of your site. This would include incidental changes. (We do not like being "nickeled and dimed" either).
Do you guarantee your work?
We guarantee that we will develop the site to your satisfaction and that it will be always available. But like any other form of advertising we can not guarantee that a website will result in a surge in business.
Do you do graphic design and branding?
No. We are computer people.
What about Facebook and Twitter?
We can, but since our typical customer is a small business we sometimes question the advantage of social media marketing for them.
OK then what about buying sites like Kijiji, Craigslist, Castanet and Our Okanagan?
If it makes sense and you do not know how, we can set your business up on these local buying sites for $10 a site.
